Who We Are

The Men Behind the Podcast and Journal

Why Vital Masculinity?

“Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so.”

Charles de Gaulle

The Vital Masculinity Project was founded on a few, basic principles:

  • Young men lack strength and virtue.
  • Young men lack brothers and bonds of community.
  • Young men lack mentors and those that will initiate them into godly and noble manhood.

These societal disorders have led to a crisis in modern men. They are constantly told to hate themselves, that their manhood is ‘toxic’, and that they need to get in touch with their feminine side. Many have grown up without fathers or controlled by their mothers. Many are slaves to their base urges, to social media, drugs, alcohol, and pornography. This does not bode well for a once-great civilization, nor does it bode well for the men that make it up, with mental illness and suicide rates on the rise.

We want to help restore men to greatness and reinstate the spirit of nobility and saintly virtue in our lands. While other men’s sites focus on helping you learn things that make you good at being a man, we are focused on how you can become a good man. Both are critical if we are to leave a better world for our children and grandchildren.

We speak from personal experience – both successes and failures – and from wisdom of those much more intelligent, virtuous, and manly than we currently are. If you desire to better yourself and take the first step in becoming a heroic man of virtue, join us. With each man in our ranks, we will help heal and restore our fallen world.
